Month of Devotional Thought-The Morrigan: Day 8

Discuss Variations on this deity (aspects, regional forms, etc.)

The Morrígan is often described as a trio of individuals, all sisters, called ‘the three Morrígna’.[2][3][4] Although membership of the triad varies, the most common combination in modern sources is Badb, Macha and Nemain.[5] However the primary sources indicate a more likely triad of Badb, Macha and Anand; Anand is also given as another name for the Morrígan.[6] Other accounts name Fea and others.

Danu is also connected to the Morrigan as well. Since the Morrigan is only in Irish mythology then she’s limited only to Ireland. Remember this isn’t like the Greeks or even the Norse. Morrigan, and the other gods of Ireland, are their own thing.
